Average Penis Size

A study by the University of California in Los Angeles in 2005 found that 45% of men would prefer their penis to be larger. Even so, 84% of respondents rated their penis size as average to above average.

That's because men tend to exaggerate the size of their penis - studies which rely on self-measurement for example consistently report a higher average length.

This in turn explains why so many men would like a bigger penis.

Studies that have attempted to measure average penis size have produced slightly different results, but all point to an average of 5.75 inches (14.5cm) for the length of a fully erect penis.

If yours is under 5.5 inches it is below average and if yours is over six inches it's above average. Anywhere inbetween and you have an average size penis.

The measurement is taken from the base to the tip along the top of a fully erect penis.
